Natwest CC PPI

Hi all, another one after a bit of advice.

I took out a credit card from Natwest back in 1996 with PPI. The account is currently still in use although no longer have the PPI as I cancelled this about 18 months ago. I cannot find my original application so would I need to send money prior to asking them to send a copy of the application. Also, would they still hold the application as the account is still current.

After much reading I believe I was mis-sold the PPI as when the account was opened I was a serving member so if off work ill, I would have had full pay and also received benefits if I died whilst in service.

Thanks in advance

    Hi there

As its still an active account, I would not worry so much of the paperwork and just continue to make a reclaim on the reclaim questionnaire on step 3 below, remember to keep a copy for yourself as well.
Mention on the questionnaire that you had cancelled the ppi 18 months ago and you now understand since learning of the mis selling of the PPI that it applies to you, give your reasons, and ask that they refund all the PPI pemiums you paid to date, plus the relevant interest.

    Good luck on your reclaiming.

    Hello

I too was a serving member of staff at the time with the benefits you have described. I have received a full refund from my LOAN account, but not my credit cards - I am still awaiting the response from that. They seem to hold loan information going back a long time, but not sure about the Cards. I closed my card back in 2002 / 2003 so I am not holding out too much hope.
However, as your account is still open, I would say you are in with a pretty good chance. And considering we were told 'you had to take out PPI as a member of staff' then I would say you are likely to receive something back :)
