You can claim JSA, and each time you sign on you will complete a short form detailing what work you have done. If you are single, any earnings over £5 will be deducted from your JSA entitlement.0

Is this you or your friend? Are you/ your friend single, a lone parent, disabled? The earnings disregard will vary according to your situation.0

In that case you will have a £10 per week earnings disregard. With regard to your savings, for every £250 or part thereof over £6000, £1 will be deducted from your JSA entitlement.
How many hours do you think you will be working?0 -
im not sure just when they need me not sure if its worth me doing it0

If you do not think it is worth you doing, you should not claim JSA as it would imply that you are unreasonably restricting your jobsearch.0 -
so will they stop money every week or just the weeks i work0

They will deduct an amount for your earnings only on the weeks you work. The will deduct an amount for your savings every week.0 -
would i get any housing benefit0

As long as you get something in JSA you will get full housing benefit. If you didn't get anything you need to declare your income to the council as well.caroleak123 wrote: »would i get any housing benefit:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
