Hi Folks,

What is cheaper to run a convector heater or oil filled heater?

    Several threads on this.

As dc states both cost the same for the same heat output.

Convector puts out heat quickly and distribute heat quickly, but no heat when switched off. Oil filled radiator heats up slowly and does not distribute heat quickly; but residual heat left when switched off.

I use a halogen heater for instant heat if it starts to get too cold sitting around. As its only 1050w it doesnt consume too much power
