i am interested in learning to drive and as i have just moved to where i live, i dont know of any good/reputable driving instructors.i dont really fancy using a huge company like bsm as they tend to charge an arm and a leg,and i only work part time so money is tight.
i currently live in the shiremoor/monkseaton area of newcastle.

    Hello LGDNUFC

You should get more responses to your thread in the 'Motoring & Public Transport' board, so I'll move it across.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

    Regards

I could recommend a good one - a chap that lives in our street and got our son (and many others) through first time - if you lived in Leicester!

If no-one on the board has any suggestions local to you, it would be a good idea to ask friends/workmates etc if they could recommend an instructor. Someone will know a person who either taught them or their kids, who they feel was a good and patient instructor.
