HI dont give up, they will get back to you within 7 days.just state your case and stick to the facts about the sale and why you think you were mis sold. I am sure they will get back to you within the seven days, they did with me, and they will agree to a refund
CathCath did they agree to refund when the sent you a further response?0 -
Well, I got a second response letter today saying they had reviewed my complaint and the original response still stands. Rejection number 2
Should I now take it to the ombudsman? 0 -
That's what they did with me. I've taken my complaint to the ombudsman nowDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0

To be honest people, I would just go straight to the Ombudsman Service after they send you their inevitable final response rejection. MBNA rejected me straight away.Sent to the Ombudsman and within 4 weeks had a response back saying the Ombudsman had upheld my complaint. I believe these companies are using delaying tactics to some extent, however also remember that they will be receiving thousands of complaints probably on a daily basis. Straight to the Ombudsman after first rejection. Dont waste your time by contacting MBNA several times. Its what they want you to do! By the way, The financial Ombudsman Service has upheld 89% of PPI complaints against MBNA in favour of the consumer from 1/1/11 to 30/6/11. Seriously - get straight to the FSO!0

Hi all,
Thanks The-Logans for directing me to this thread!
Would this still apply if I had actually applied for my credit card 'online' as they state?
Only I am almost certain that it was one of those pre-ticked forms I completed and when I sent letters asking for a copy of my credit agreement, all I received was a signature page.
Should I attempt to contact the CEO as a start point?0 -

I followed the normal procedure, got rejected, contacted the CEO, got rejected. I'm not sure if you have to complain to them directly first before you can go to the FOS.
As for applying online - doesn't matter! The question is whether they sold you PPi that you didn't want/need or wouldn't have covered you anyway. Good luck!0 -
Hi, I received e-mails from both Paul & Mathew from MBNA after sending to my complaint CEO as advised on here, I would just like to ay a big thank you as they have both said my complaint was upheld in my favour and the information is being reviewed for my refund, so hopefully will have moe info soon.
