Grass advice

Nothing to do with illegal drugs!!
Has anybody got any advice on creating to perfect (but low maintanance) lawn? Grass growth last year was reasonable, but there where largish patches of moss (nice green moss, but moss all the same). I tried increasing drainage in these areas with a fork, but with little effect.
Should I spread something on the lawn of cut the grass more often, or what?

you should try using evergreen on the lawn in early sping i use the granuals it is more expensive but does look good follow the instructions and in 2-3 weeks you should have a green lawn if you have patchy grass try puting a fertilizer on bald patches about £2 a bag in homebase rake it in and after a few days add seed this always works good luck0

Are you the gardener at st.james's park ??
Hang on a minute .....does grass grow that far up north ??
I thought they painted the pitch green at st.james's. !! lol
Best not to put fertilizers down when reseeding, as the chemicals will burn the new grass shoots.
Deal with one problem at a time, moss this year, patches next year.
Make sure you don't leave grass cuttings on the lawn, and try to avoid having areas of the lawn that are covered by leaves or shade for any length of time.If only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!

I had a balding, weed infested lawn last year until I used the Evergreen stuff. I got a box with 2 sachets in that you mix together in a watering can, then water your lawn...et voila!!!!
Now I have the lawns mowed every 2 weeks and the grass is lovely.Just run, run and keep on running!0 -
The pitch at St James is doing alright, and baring up with all those additional UEFA and FA cup games that we are playing, since we are the only club left in two competitions.
