I do clean the shower after use, I just don't take the towel to it and dry it all off completely. I don't know that anyone could be ars*d to do that ;-)

What's the difficulty? Keep an old towel around, and run it round the sealant lines once before you leave the shower.

Like above we have a similar problem, we have opening window locks on (like a lockable vent) but we also use H & G mold and mildew like the above posters, works a treat. Can get that from Lakeland, local to us but also available online.
    Gas doc on the loose
  • Another vote here for bleach - I half fill a jam-jar with value bleach and apply with an old paintbrush, leave for a couple of hours and wipe/rinse it off.
  • this thread has just inspired me to stick neat thick bleach all around the sealant
as i have black mold too around my shower
will let you know tomorrow how it goes.

Bleach or some kind of mould killer works to get rid of it, but to keep it away I find it helps to clean the bathroom with something that kills mould when you do the regular cleaning, rather than just the usual detergents that do nothing to mould. Soda crystals seem to be the best I've used, but if you don't mind the smell ammonia is good too.

The best grout cleaner I have ever used was bleach and bicarb mixed up into a paste.

Spread onto the grout and leave overnight and rinse off in the morning.
