Solar makes meter run backwards.

The energy companies assume you export 50% of all generated power (probably an underestimate for most people, but that's what they use). So, if you add on 50% of what you generated to the negative reading, I'd say that was reasonable. But I'm confused about what Eon has done - are they now proposing to change the meter and trying to charge you retrospectively or have they just ignored your reading because it was lower than the previous one? If the latter then it will sort itself out when your usage is eventually positive, which won't take long now summer is long gone.my meter has run backwards for a whole quarter-Eon did not tell me to get new meter and they have estimated the bill because the entire period was negative; is there a method for assessing how much power I have really used of theirs; I know what I have generated from solar panels and before and after readings from the house meter
