Bissell Shop Direct!!!!

i placed an order on the 16th of feb, for a reconditioned pro heat cleaner.
on the 18th of feb i got a letter explaining that they were out of stock, but were due to take stock on the 1oth of march and my machine will be despatched within 48 hours of then.

i phoned today to see what was happening, and was told id have to wait up to seven more weeks.

the pro heat one was the one i really wanted, but ended up just going for what they had in stock, a power wash one. same price but does less :mad:

i asked if there was someone i could speak to about the problems and being unhappy, i was told no.

now i will have to wait for up to 28 days for a machine i didnt really want, and pay the same price!!

all this just for clean carpets, and customer service?? i dont think they know the meaning!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

    Surely you can cancel the order? If they don't have what you want and can't make their original delivery date then you should be able to cancel, or ask for a discount.
    If you paid by CC then threaten to tell the CC company they failed to deliver and ask for a refund. Add that you'll make a complaint to the CC company and trading standards. Don't take this cr*p from them.

    Hi.......I ordered one of these things and when the 28 day delivery slot ran out got a letter quoting a new date 10 March. As we were going to be away over that period asked them to hold delivery which they said they could not do but not to worry as they probably wouldn't have any then either.

    When we came back from holiday found a card from Business post to say they had tried to deliver a large package and would hold it for 5 working day and then send it back, which they did. I phoned Bissell Shop Direct who said I was now back on an 8 week wait as the one returned would not come to me again. They also admitted there was a problem in producing this particular model and didn't hold out any hope for an early resolution of the problem.

    I had got fed up by this stage and told them to cancel the order, which they said they would do and would refund the money as soon as they had been notified of the package return.

    The only good thing about the story is that within 7 days I had a cheque from them for the full purchase amount, so at least that bit worked well
