hope someone could advise
i have a nissan micra 2003 reg (automatic), it has a keyless ignition, recently when i try to release the steering lock and turn the ignition knob it will sometimes not release and take serveral attempts to get the steering lock off, sometimes the only way is to use the emergency key on the sensor fob.
has any other micra driver experienced this problem and if so how did they fix it, putting graphite powder in the ignition slot has been mentioned
thanks

Sounds like the steering lock mechanism is worn. Same thing happens on cars with the standard ignition key. Only solution is replacement.0
