Someone is sending bogus e-mails from my address - how can I stop it?

thanks for the advice everyone. I visited my domain name site last night and deleted the 'catch all' option, so that only my proper e-mail address gets replied to. I'm hoping this might stop me getting loads of undelivered mail back to me.

Unfortunately this may not help! Once a spammer knows a domain exists they use fake emails from that domain.

I didn't realise that. So really there is nothing I can do to stop them doing it then?

I had a similar problem last year. I'm with LCN too. By removing the catch all option as you have done has prevented me from getting the thirty plus returned emails per day! This was at least a year ago.

Well, you can't stop them using fake emails from your domain, but if you have deleted the catch all email address then when you get bounce messages they will just disappear into the ether, so this WILL cut down on the amount of junk mail you receive.
