HSBC dragging their heels - what can I do?

Hello all, I'm looking for a bit of advice please.
To cut a long story short, after almost 1 year of waiting, HSBC finally decided to refund the PPI on a loan I had with them some time ago. I received the acceptance form on the 3rd September, signed it and sent it back. Now, since then, I haven't received a penny from them. I've been chasing it almost every day for the last three weeks, and all I get are the same tired old excuses. First I was told that they didn't receive my acceptance until the 15th September and it would take 2-3 weeks from that date to pay back my refund, then when I called again a week or so later it had changed to 3-4 weeks. Now I'm being told that because my loan went to a debt recovery company (I was having money troubles) it is now with another department and being looked into to see if there is anything outstanding on my loan. I managed to find some old paperwork from the debt recovery company, I called them and they confirmed that I settled my loan in full and there is nothing outstanding. I've called HSBC nd told them this, but they still say it will be dealt with in due course
Is there anything I can do to make them hurry up with this money? It's been almost five weeks now, I'm going on holiday on Friday and I really need this money or I won't be able to go.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there
Have you also tried emailing the CEO, telling them how disappointed you are in still waiting for your money?
Give it a go, good luck and hope you receive your refund soon, well done on your success.
