:T I just got into freezing meals, so far I have frozen cauliflower cheese,
jacket spuds-which I have scooped out the cooked potato and mixed it with some cooked onion mashed it all up and refilled the skins,
vegi curries, soya mince, shephards pies, and sliced potato bakes.
this week I going to make some batches of vegi mince bolognese, and I will check out this thread for some more inspiration0 -
Can you marinate meat then freeze it uncooked? I usually do a meal every other week that takes a while for all the marinated ingredients to be put togther, just wondered whether I could do a few and then freeze it uncooked if the meat hasn't been frozen before?0

If the meat hasn't been frozen before you can freeze it. Marinades with alcohol be careful of as the alcohol doesn't freeze. Might be easier to freeze the marinade seperately if it's freezable. With marinades that can be kept together in fridge I tend to make a bottle full and store it that way.One day I might be more organised...........

I saw that on a Nigella programme - she freezes meat in it's marinade & it marinates as it defrosts. I keep meaning to try it but never have yet.0 -

Yes it does!
If I make chilli I always freeze it before eating it....I've no idea what the frezzing process actually does to it but it is sooo much nicer.Must learn not to count chickens before they are hatched!!!!:D
