Is it possible to do part refunds within a paypal dispute?

Hi

I brought some items of a guy but one of them was had a bit missing so it was of no use to me and I wish to return it.

I have opened up a paypal disupte and the seller says he will refund me the money but as I paid for 3 in one go hes not sure how to do a part refund.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

He just needs to put the figure he wants to refund in the box.

  • Yes you can do a part refund.

Tell the seller to find the original transaction in their PayPal history (showing that you paid them), scroll to the bottom of the page and there will be an option to 'refund payment'. If they click that they will then have the option to refund the whole payment or manually enter a part refund.
