Oooh - it does sound yummy. Might make it during half term & freeze a tiny bit just to see what it's like. My other half is always a willing guinea pig trying stuff!

Guess you'd have to be more cautious with peppermint creams (raw egg white or condensed milk) and truffles if made with cream. But you'd be wanting to give them as fresh as possible anyway, wouldn't you, so defrost as late as possible?
