Speak to your Insurers. If the roof has not recently been subject to storm damage, the Insurers may consider it a maintenance issue and therefore decline a claim to the roof. However, if you have accidental cover, the Insurers may be willing to consider a claim for internal damage. Not sure about the Contents if the roof was just in a bad state of repair.
Not sure people here will be able to tell whether your Insurers will cover this or not. It is up to you to speak to your Insurers and follow the claims process. If you then have any problems, post back here and people can advise you further.The comments I post are personal opinion.
