Yet another morning, yet another rush down to Sainsbury's, yet more disappoitment
Fascinating how all of that stock suddenly reappears the day after the sale, but then that's 'shameful Sainsbury' for you.
I'll be relying on Tescoes and their double-up promotion = more stock, less hassle, and better organised.0 -
OH picked up a couple of barbies and some play-doh the other day. She'll like them and will be a nice boost for her xmas pile.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0 -

That was the only Ben & Holly toy though, which was a shame as my son loves it too. If it had been a Ben or the ladybird I would have grabbed it.
If it helps any, Home & Bargain have Gaston the ladybird plush toys for £3.99, and Gaston's cave for I think £5.99 xx0 -

Sorry to hear this Lego, I haven't been back down since Thursday but did want to stop in again on the hunt for Transformers and Screatures not sure whether to go today or leave it until tommorow.
I overheard the sales assistants say they had tons of crates to bring out over the course of the sale on Thursday but unlike other stores it seems that our local isnt restocking regularly.
When I stopped in on the Thursday afternoon they hadn't restocked anything, every shelf was bare and they were tipping baskets of items in to the crates on the floor so they were completely mixed up and items were getting damaged.
I was assuming to make space to remove the empty crate to bring another but they didn't do it the whole hour I was there doing my food shop.
The sales assistants were telling customers they were short staffed and couldn't bring out any new stock because they couldn't price it and put on the shelf.
Either our store is the busiest (for this promotion) in the country or they just weren't expecting the demand from customers so just haven't been organised enough.
I'm sort of hoping that it may not be as busy on Monday and Tuesday when the children are back to school and Sainsburys may start stocking their shelves properly.Competition wins - 09/03 - £500 ELC Vouchers 11/04 - Lush Goodies 21/04 - Gillette Fusion Gift Pack 22/05 - Mirrors DVD 29/05 - Return Flights to London & £500 29/05 - £50 Homebase Gift Vouchers 20/09 - Remote Control Helicopter 28/09 - £225 Bingo Win 05/10 £25 Photobox Vouchers 16/09 £90 Cash 30/11 £29 Cash 03/01 £20 03/04 Fifa Football :T0 -

Thanks to this site saved over £3000 -
I did very well this year, but I don't think they are going to keep restocking the entire range. They couldn't keep up with demand on Lego and other things. But people will buy an alternative while in store. Perhaps one of those over priced remote control cars or dolls they wouldn't normally go near?
Just a tip, this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mega-Bloks-Buildable-Covenant-Assault/dp/B005I4U1V6/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1319889252&sr=8-19
was only 90p in my store. :T0 -
Went to 2 stores today (quite a drive).
First i went to Ferndown on the search for lego Ninjago, there was no lego left at all, not much of anything left and the toy isle was like a jumble sale, quite a few zoobles sets left, sylvanian windmills, bob the builder toys, i toy trike thing and bakugan. Also managed to get some stocking fillers, gruffalo note pads ect.. (pretty poor really and not worth the drive)
Then i went to Poole and picked up some Moshi figures, playdough, sylvanian family honey bear family, club penguin igloo and a cars lego set. They also had 3 Mickeys left, lots of Hello Kitty large plushes, moon sand (small and big sets), lots of hot wheels and a lot of baby toys (mainly their own brand) but no lego Ninjago, looks like i'm going to have to buy it from Amazon0 -
Went to newport this aternoon - most of shelves were bare - hardly any girls things - couple of baby annabells, little pet shop figures and large sets, zoobies, large firetrucks, large remote control trucks and play kitchens, hello kitty house sets...
Does anybody know if Hereford store is worth visiting?Live well. Laugh often. Love more.
Always look on the bright side of life.....:beer:0 -
Popped in to Kempston today as I needed some bits and bobs, the toy section looked like it had been attacked by locusts, lol!
However on one of the end aisles (facing the christmas gifts) they had a range of travel games (battleships, cluedo, monopoly, guess who?, connect 4) which are 70% off and £1.49! (Might be £1.79 I haven't got my receipt to hand) great for the party present stash or stocking fillers, like this kind of packaging (not my ebay btw I struggled to find the same version):
