Went to Braehead just after 9am and it was madness!! The staff were great though and kept the stock coming and in the end instead of putting it on the shelves shouted what was in their box and walked around so people could get whatever it was
I got loads!! It didnt look that much in the trolley (honest!) but ended up spending a fortune :eek: I only have 2 kids
They had different sets of lego, cars 2, ninjago, pirates of the carribean, lego city etc
Games like connect 4, frustration etc and some lego games
Hot wheels stuff, tranformers, huge remote control cars,
Loads of babrie stuff
Hello kitty, disney princess, club penguin, zhu zhu, moshi monsters and squinkie
loads of leap frog baby toys
baby annabelle with a pony and one with a dog and sledge
They said they have loads of stuff in the back and would just keep bringing it out but thankfully I had to go get my daughter from nursery
I also went to the one in EK retail park to get the sylvanian windmill and babies and it was soooooo quiet?!! This was about 12.15pm the have most of the above but they also have a few other things braehead didnt like a tool bench thing and scooters
Neither of the stores had dancing mickeys
I was in Braehead at 8am and by 8.15 all the mickeys were sold out. They were bringing out boxes and they were just being snapped up. It was crazy! going to try EK tomorrow, hope it is quiet like it was for you today but what are the chances? :O)0 -

There was quite a bit of the smaller lego sets, dr who figures and toys for younger kids.
The toy dept does seem a little smaller now even though they have stuck an island table in the area. Not sure why they did the refit - doesnt seem to have added anything but a cafe upstairs?
I didnt go last year but I did manage to get a few things this year - mainly lego & the sylvanian windmill - which is alot bigger then it looks.
The sale felt a bit like buying for the sake of it & didnt seem that cheap? Some of the items Im not sure were ever sold for the full rrp - whiteboard magentic thing I dont think was ever £60.
All worth a look though.0 -
Ok, so here's my list from White Rose Leeds from 8am this morning, with prices paid after half price deducted:
* Barbie Ballerina - £2.99
* Thomas The Tank Engine Whistle & Go - £7.49
* Sainsburys Eco wooden puzzle - £1.24
* Hot Wheels 5-pack - £3.12
* Lego Satellite Pad - £7.50
* Lego Citymoon Buggy - £2.00
* Peppa Pig Fire Station Playset - £7.50
* Peppa Pig Fire Engine vehicle - £4.99
* Vtech musical tambourine - £4.49
* Monsters Truck £2.49
* Transformer Legends - 44p (these were reduced to clear rather than being discounted at half price, think they were £4-something originally, ds is Transformer mad so I got one of each that they had, about 6 in total)
* Larger Transformer Bumblebee/Optimus Prime - £6.49
* Furreal Lulu Kittie - £10
Spent £78 but used £10 of Nectar points so saved a bit more still
There were dancing Mickey Mouse toys, quite a few left in various locations throughout the store along with other toys in random places, but that was 12 hours ago now. Didn't see any Toy Story or Ben 10 in case anyone was after those. I thought there was a great selection of Lego, which is what I wanted a few bits of the most, but it did vanish very quickly while I was in there, a few people were literally clearing the shelves straight into their trollies.
Overall I was pleased with what they had this morning, and what I got, although I didn't have a list at all beforehand. There were far more boys' toys than last year, as well as plenty for the girls still, and plenty for all age ranges. Plus I think that's my sons' birthdays and Christmas for them and all the other kids in our family/friends sorted now so I'm really happy
Also make sure you check the price of every item as it is being scanned as the odd thing wasn't scanning at half price and they were refusing to manually override the price.
Right, now to compare my prices with those online to see if I need to return any lol!0 -

We did try pound lane this afternoon - mainly to take a couple of bits back, but a lot of it had gone bit like a jumble sale, doubt I'll get back to either now as 20+ mile trip for me. Bet you go down the toy aisle tomo!!!;)
was just me on my own i left all 3 of my little ones tucked in bed with hubby watching telly in the warm and they were so good i let them each have a small £2-3 item as a treat, which they havent stopped playing with all day, bless em, if only theyd seen what i brought home...
i must not must not must not go nearthe toy isle tomorow but you are right i probably will only 1 more thing i need is nerf darts as got my boy the gun but you only get 3 darts, he cant terrorise daddy nanny and grandad on xmas day with only 3 darts0 -

It seems bigger in there, maybe because there's more space but the same amount of merchandise? I think it's really odd in there now, too mammoth for my liking.
There were swarms of people around the remote controlled Lightning Mcqueens. I picked up a shopping board game for my son but at £6.99 half price it will be going back tomorrow. You're bang on about the pricing, I looked at the WWE wreslting ring for £22, rrp £44. They are £15 in Smyths at the moment.0 -
does anybody know if any of the stores have had the pink fisher price bounce and spin zebra, i have been waiting to get it for my little girl but dont want to pay £40-£50 for it, thanks0
