GMail Email Account disabled

This morning I couldn't access my GMail account and discovered there had been unusual activity on my account and GMail have disabled it.

I have gone through the verification process, entering the code which GMail sent to my phone, also submitted two support contact forms regarding the problem, with no reply!

There doesn't appear to be a telephone number to ring and it's my main email which I use several times daily.

Does anyone know whether there is anything else I can do or is the account lost until GMail decide to offer some support?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

if you have windows live you can set up an email account with that and it can import/ link your gmail setting and retrieve contacts and inbox message- if you have windows messenger then you should be able to sign in with that

    Thanks very much for reply.

I have a Hotmail account which is rarely used, however I use a couple of folders to store emails which I want to keep.

However, with my GMail account being disabled I think any emails to that address would just be blocked or returned to the sender. Unsure what will happen to them.

Still no reply from GMail to three support requests. You would expect that there would be a form you could fill in with answers to security questions, to regain access to account.

Their support when this happens is rubbish.

Two days (almost) it took, but my GMail account has at last been restored.

The account had been hacked and therefore disabled.

There is a form to fill in, but you need to know stuff like when it was first setup, first used, verification codes etc.

So much info that very few people will have access to it all.

I have tried 5 tims filling in for one of my accounts with all the info that I can find - all to no avail.

GMail support is very poor. It helped when I posted a question on their forums. Initially they were sending me to things I had already tried and I was going round in circles. I had filled in 4 contact us forms, with no response, then someone escalated the problem to the support team at GMail.

This must have (eventually) helped, and I tried once again to go through one of their procedures and the system allowed me to reset my password.

Don't know whether this link will help.
