The Mediterranean is an irresistible destination, attracting visitors with its sparkling waters, golden beaches and beautiful cities. One of the best ways to enjoy it is on an MSC Yacht Club cruise, gliding effortlessly from one port of call to another and enjoying sumptuous suites, gourmet dining, 24-hour butler and concierge services and an amazing spa. Enter this month's Where Are You? competition and you could win a seven-night cruise for two on the MSC Fantasia or the MSC Splendida, starting and finishing at Genoa and calling at different cities depending on which cruise you select. The prize, worth £4,058, includes full-board accommodation in a balcony cabin, return flights from Heathrow or Gatwick to Genoa, plus transfers to and from the port. The holiday must be taken by 30 September 2012; April, July and August are excluded. For further information, visit https://www.msccruises.co.uk or call MSC Cruises on 0844 561 1955.

To enter this competition, you'll need to turn to page 176 of the November 2011 issue of Cond! Nast Traveller magazine, and identify the palace complex shown in the picture.

Clue: This beach resort lies on the west side of a barrier island overlooking a famous gulf. With an average daytime temperature of about 21°C in January, rising to 33°C in July and August, the region in which the resort is located attracts sun-seekers all year round. This stretch of coast is also popular with dolphin-spotters, and they are likely to become even more numerous with the release of a Hollywood film about a remarkable bottlenose that is the star attraction at the local aquarium. The resort's other claim to fame is that the mainland city to which it is linked by a causeway is home to the 'spiritual headquarters' of a controversial organisation whose membership includes high-profile actors, musicians and other celebrities. Where are you?

To enter, identify the beach resort shown in the picture. Correct answers will be placed in a random prize-draw.

Answer - (photo scan help needed)

CN TRAVELLER NOVEMBER WHERE ARE YOU? ENTER HERE

Good luck everyone :)

I couldn't see specific end date, could someone let me know if they see it and I'll amend thread :T (guessedenddate) (I've purposefully put end date earlier than end of month to aid end date compers and make sure everyone is in)

  • The answer is Clearwater, Florida (where the Scientology HQ is, and the aquarium which houses the dolphin from the film A Dolphin's Tale. :)

But that is the name of the mainland city to the East, not the name of a beach resort.
  • I think it is Clearwater Beach, Florida (having been lucky enough to rent an apartment there on vacation)
