Advice needed re: car insurance and claim

Just to update my situation, especially Quentin (thanks for all your advice).
My Insurance doesn't actually run out till the 27th, but no Insurance company will insure the vehicle until they know a) it's going to be repaired or b) is a write off, then new insurance needed anyway.
On a more positive note, having spoken to a senior claims advisor and informing her that I will be sending a formal letter of com-plaint with 2 relevant Acts quoted, - today I have been informed that my car will be picked up today, along with a courtesy car, until they establish if it can be repaired. RESULT!!!!! A full 15 days after the "accident".:j

Hi marluc,

I'm having a similar problem with one call giving me a courtesy car. Can you tell me what acts you said to them you were going to quote? As I too have been waiting more than a week for them to collect me car.
