faulty pram

hi everyone

i ordered my icandy peach blossom at the end of last year and picked it up on 20th april.

it's pram that converts from a single to a double and has a lower carrycot for newborn to 6mth and a seat from 6mth+

i just changed the carrycot to the seat and have noticed the clip on one of the straps is upside down. i can still use it buy twisting the strap but not happy.

to be honest it's the last straw. not happy with the pram (as stunning as it is) but thought i'd have to deal with it as it was my choice. but now that i've taken the lower seat out the box and saw the flaw is there any way i can take it all back for a refund and NOT an exchange??

this pram cost over 900 quid so im angry there is a fault

If it's faulty you have the right to a repair, replacement or refund. There are some specific details in the SOGA about goods that are more than six months old (you're getting very close) but it's probably fairly obvious that a clip not being put on the right way is an inherent fault so I doubt you'll have to get an independent report.

The retailer is within their rights to offer you a repair or replacement, provided you're not inconvenienced. £900 is a lot of money. Take it back to wherever you bought it and explain that the clip's not on the right way. TBH, though, for something so trivial and probably easy to resolve, I expect they'll offer a repair in the first instance. You could try explaining that you're not happy anyway and see where that gets you.
