Just a quickie:
The last few days when i log into this site(and others) i have to re-enter password details etc.
I always tick the 'remember password' box but to no avail.
I have gone into Internet Options but the only box ticked is the 'delete browsing history' on exit.Should this be 'unticked'? or is there another place i can go to to save entered passwords?
Thank you for any advice.

Use the same (strong) password for all the forums you use, so you don't need to remember different ones.........?0

You can adjust the settings in your Web browser. Most forums use a cookie to remember you from previous visits. You can either un-tick the option to delete browsing history on exit or go further into the settings and change the delete options to exclude cookies.
Doing either of the above will depend on your browser.0 -
Also, there are websitses that store your passwords for you. I recommend last pass. I would suggest you use a different password for each site that way everything won't be comprised if someone learns your password.0

Hi,
have you recently started using CCleaner, it deletes cookies unless you shift them across to the 'keep' side.0 -
Might be worth installing Password Safe: http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/
You need to set a master password or passphrase. It's a great application that can autofill usernames and passwords0 -

It appears that i need to 'untick' the option to delete browsing history on exit(this also includes passwords and cookies) but i am certain that this has always been 'ticked' and passwords were remembered.Anyway i realise that its not a big deal, just nusance value.
The bit i have highlighted in bold i cannot find.I use IE 8.
Thanks for all replies0
