Just spent 3/4 hour choosing some shopping from tescos online!!! got it all sorted went to checkout and tried putting in my card number and all that and it told me to !!!!!! off!!!
THEY DONT ACEPT MY CARD!!!!!!! ARRRRRHHHHHHH
Ok its visa electron but they accept it instore so why not online!! arrhhhh i could scream!!
And to top it off i've just remembered i did all my shopping but forgot the one thing that i wanted to do the online shop for!! lol So even if it had gone through I wouldve lost out cause i didnt get the things that i wanted to get!! (easter eggs) lolol god im a wally!!

the idea of Visa Electron is for "in person" purchases only, ie you can't use it online or over the phone. Saying that, some sites are accepting it now, but not many, paypal the only one that comes to mind.

That's not exactly true anymore and Visa Electron can be used for telephone/online shopping just like any other card, especially since almost all banks (not Natwest) opted to issue Electron instead of Solo recently.
Most places online now accept it, however, there are a few stores remaining ... Tesco, Iceland and Argos that I can think of off the top of my head ... that still refuse it because they won't update their systems :mad:

i think we should start up a campaign
we should list the companies that dont accept electron and each of us send them an email a day asking them to reconsider

I've not had a problem using it online. Used it for loads of stores! Even ntl use it over the phone now!! wayhey!! lol
Thanks for letting me know about iceland not taking it!! i was going to do an online shop there today!! lol0
