Google earth question

Does anyone know how to create a link to a landmark or place in google earth.
I want to send a link that will open up google earth program and go directly to the point in question.
I can give co-ordinates to a place, but everyone else seems to just give a complete link and I cant find out how its done
anyone know ?

It might be a lot easier to link to Flash Earth

    Hi

If you enter the co-ordinates for the required place, then right click the co-cordinates under the search section where the co-ordinates have a tick next to them. After you have right clicked it click select 'save as' - name it to whatever you want. Then send this file to whoever you want. When they double click it, Google Earth should open up and zoom into the said place.

    Apologies for long winded answer!

If its one of the preinstalled landmarks, right click the name and click 'save as' and send the file.

When looking at Google Earth it often crashes the whole PC - don't think its a problem with the capability of our machine, it's only this programme that causes it to crash regularly. Has anyone else had this problem?

I had this problem as my pc is borderline capable of running the program.
I made sure that any placemarks werent left ticked after viewing... i.e Google earth crashed whilst loading all the placemarks, so if you uncheck them before running GE again....it might solve your problem.

    Thanks.
The pc spec should be ok as it is only 6 months old. I have just unticked most of my placemarks and deleted a lot which weren't needed, so will see what happens. I think it had got bad when I'd added a lot of locations recently.
I've advised my DH of the correct spelling for "program" as he'd sent the message from me. He's such a stickler for spelling and grammar as well.
    Thanks again.

Thats it !...I unticked everything, and I go back to them every now and then.
You dont have to delete them, just untick them so they dont load straight away.

If you want to send a link - use Google maps no need to have Google earth loaded then .. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=London+wall&sll=54.94281,-2.807034&sspn=0.001269,0.003439&ie=UTF8&z=18&ll=51.523618,-0.109305&spn=0.001375,0.005198&t=k&om=1 Just use the "Link to this page" to see the full url when you have found your place, again I know it is not google earth
