Eon RHT EnergyPlan 6

Hello Experts,

I am on Eon's RHT EnergyPlan 6 and my property has storage radiators for heating and water. Since I moved in, Eon (and the various other utility companies it has been through the years) have consistently misread my meter, either by transposing the readings or using the wrong values. I have spent months getting things straight (some Eon people have been very helpful but some others need a good shake).

The meter has 3 readings:
- Rate 1 Element 1 (Day)
- Rate 2 Element 1 (Evening-Weekend)
- Element 2 (Storage)

I'm not sure the times of day the various rates apply (not sure Eon does either).

Eon sent an engineer to replace the meter (after every 5 years?), but when he arrived and saw the meter, he said that they had been told not replace this type.

I am in an ex-Norweb area and the radiators (and boiler) are controlled by a Smart Heat timer control (which I can't seem to work).

I would like to be able to compare other suppliers and rates, but it's hard to do when I not sure what EnergPlan 6 is, and is it still a current plan? Does anyone have any more information on this plan and on other suppliers' equivalent plans?

Thanks.

    Hi Beverley123

I'm sorry you're having so much bother with this.

RHT meters are often confusing but it really shouldn't be so complicated

If you want to send an email to the email address in my bio with your account details, I'll be able to give you the switching times of your meter and your annual use for comparison if it helps?

    Amanda :)
