  • You do still make me smile and I still don't know that chocolate bar! Police, Army or any of the forces- no, but close. It may be that people look on and take/steal information, which you presumably were able to without belonging to MSE (and which I would struggle with), but joining the forum, in my small, but, I think relevant opinion means that you agree with what I hope the majority thinks/believes how the forum operates. I knew whilst playing the game that it was evident that people were not sharing and some, either to their credit or not were also aware and asked for personal contact. That may be because they were upset that there were people who had joined as soon as the competion started - I don't know. However if you want an insomniac - that is me and I wish it was not. Travelling has never been as issue fortunately- I just don't live in London/ Computer ability is where I seriously fall down - no headaches, just inability. I do not begrudge your win and wish you well. If you want to choose me then do so, I still want the answers to that treasure hunt and I love a challenge!
  • Hi Patricia, I wasn't referring that you were in the Police, Army or any other, I was just stating that people who were not happy about what codes they did not get shared for them to use should consider joining these if demanding/extracting information is what they are after. I have asked for personal contact of one person and was in contact with some people on Facebook and it we did discuss the competition and on one or two occasions, I did provide codes (in a private way) to some people I felt were generally in need of them but sharing hard found codes with the open public is just not my thing.

If this forum was to discuss and narrow down where these codes could of been located, I believe I would of been a great asset and could of possibly made the forum a better place than simply copying and pasting codes.

I accept your congratulations and well wishes with gratitude and I have never meant to insult although it may of come across that way on Facebook due to me defending myself from many people and posts being deleted but I do believe that you never called me a liar or cheat which I am pleased with.

To help you with your treasure hunt, a code you may of missed that was the 3rd code in Heat Magazine and was hidden was FDWFF, depending on the time you used it, it would of been worth 5-6 days or of course expired.

It just shows how spiteful people are . Not one of you shared an exclusive code, just rehashing the same codes, taking them from Facebook and pasting them here. I didn't see one exclusive code being shared until it was widely available.
I didn't share any codes with you but I did not take any codes from MSE as I already had them through my own efforts.

Funny, I remember a few being posted on the group as "from MSE". And, as I pointed out on the In Time page itself, not everyone who entered had the chance to ride the underground in search of these codes! We also didn't have the inside knowledge of where to find the codes as being suggested by some that YOU had!
Maybe the next time you might actually consider congratulating the winner due to the effort they put into it instead of hoping that people sitting around on their computer waiting for codes to be shared online without doing any real work will win.

I do normally, when they don't cheat!
Jailbaby, it's funny that you say that, it sounds like much of the comments that were going on over on Facebook that were saying "money changes people", I was reading these comments and just thinking that it certainly does because you could see what people turned into over me winning the competition. Everyone was saying how the competition should be fun etc... and look at what people ended up doing.

People are annoyed as it seems you had an upper hand over others. Obviously it'll be rumours, because you won't admit it, and In Time didn't deny it but didn't admit it either, so we are all stood here wondering what's gone on!
So as I received such a warm welcome here at MSE for having an open mind and voicing my opinion that goes against most of the people that are stuck in the "system".

Maybe if you weren't so flipping pigheaded you would have had a warm welcome! And we're not stuck in the system, we have respect for others on this forum. Our wins we have in our signatures, these are down to the posters on this forum.

Goodbye Ronan, I for one can honestly say I won't miss your presence here!

And on the same note, a big thank you to all those who did help. It was fun and even though I thought I'd be around 300th ish - I made 49th :D
Maybe that was due to other cheats on there using all their fake profiles :(
    Thanks to all posters :A

Ronan/Coolbeans68 - Heat Magazine - I don't think so - would take a good pecentage of my income, which is why I rely on my good friends on MSE. This is a money saving.com!! Thanks for the info but even that would not have given me enough time to catch you ... or Jane or any of the 47 before me. I was still thriiled to be 48 though! Does this mean I am not invited to stay with you in London for 9 days - how disappointing...... another thwack coming your way !!!
I think the code was poated,; possibly late but better than not at all.

Hi Patricia, I understand that it's all about money saving but the way I looked at it £1.65 investment for £26,000 , that's a different kettle of fish.

As I said before, it wasn't just about the amount of codes you got, it was about how fast you entered them.

You are still welcome to come to London for me to show you how it was done, I can even recommend some good hotels which are quite cheap for you.

Stop reminding me of Thwacks, I can still taste the chocolate and caramel taste combusting in my mouth and sending my taste sensation wild.

I never posted any codes as "From MSE" so I don't know where you are heading with that.

Never said that you personally did! I meant that people had lifted them off here, that those codes weren't on the FB page before hand.
If you didn't have the chance to ride the underground then maybe you are better off, try doing it with little sleep and a lot of people on the train and gaining stupidly small times for the codes and even expired codes from Stratford every time.

And how would you feel now if you had done all that for nothing? I live in South Wales. A little too far for me to drag the kids to London for a few days, even though £26,000 would have done a lot for me right now. As I said on In Time's Fb page, it was very unfair for those who could not get to London!!!
It is not "inside knowledge" to use every available resource that is at your disposal to gain information as to where the codes are. That is common sense.

Ringing around advertising agencies asking for those codes before anyone else had the chance to see them? That's inside knowledge!
As I said already, come to London and call me a cheat to my face instead of hiding behind a camputer (<---sorry wrong spelling) machine and I will show you what needs to be done to win a competition like this!

Fine, you can pay for me & the kids to come to you, and you can put us up and sort a sitter whilst you show me what you did :D

My very last point is that if you still wish to call me a cheater, then you are more than welcome to visit me and the people I live with and say that to my face, you will see the reaction you will get!!

People you live with? Should I be worried? :rotfl:

Ronan, you said you were leaving. Why haven't you?

EDIT: Just wanted to add before anyone starts; I knew I had no chance in winning the money once I realised that people living in London had an advantage. I ended up doing it for fun.
    Thanks to all posters :A

    hey guys,

    thanks for the codes.

Is there anyone here actually on the leaderboard?

And look! Your very first post was thanking them for codes on here
    How bizarre! ;)

And an even bigger twist! Turns out he from Loquax LOL - so you really did just come over to steal codes. Tut tut!

Well then why are you referring to it?

You could of got a hostel on the outskirts of London for 9 days for under £200. £200 investment for a £26,000 return sounds very good to anyone and yes I expect you to reply saying you didn't have £200 to spare but you could of borrowed it if you were that confident of winning. I was tight on money too and still paid all travel costs and magazines. The internet even went down during the week and I paid an outrageous amount for 24 hour temp access.

I don't see where this allegation came from, I did not know any codes before anyone else knew them. I was in London and travelled to see all the codes myself but yes I can see where living in South Wales, some intelligence could of been used here, you could of called Stratford Shopping Centre and asked nicely could they check the advertisements.
Unfortunately, I have little faith in trusting my fellow human beings so I preferred to go and look for the codes myself,

I have nothing against kids but perhaps this could of been a reason you were not able to put all your effort into the competition. You can pay for yourself and whoever else you want to bring.

We are Irish travellers so quite a few of us live in the same caravan, nothing to be worried about.

I said I was leaving after I had finished on this thread.

Living in London was no advantage, there was at least 20 codes not found so If I wasn't travelling around London looking for them, all my effort would be going into finding them on whatever radio stations, print advertising etc... that they were going to be on. You had that time that I used to do that, so essentially the time I lost in real life is the time i gained in the game. The exact point of the game.

Thanking for codes on first post. Well think about it, being my first post here, what was I supposed to say as you hadn't posted any other information but codes. If you had some discussion, I'm sure I would of jumped in on it.

If I took codes from here, I have no problem telling you that I did, the fact is I had all the codes before they were posted here and still have some that weren't posted here. Logically, why would I wait here for codes to be posted when I could be on Facebook waiting for codes on their page or on any of the websites looking.
Waiting here is the lazy persons way, if i waited for the codes to be posted here, I would of lost time and I wouldn't of won.

Wow, so anyone who "Likes" loquax on Facebook is coming here to steal codes, you really should become a Police officer, they are great at stitching people up. Loquax is a competition website, I don't see any content where they say that everyone who likes Loquax should be a code stealer.

Your from South Wales, could I make a stereotype about that?
