Halifax Overdraft Increase

I have had a Halifax Ultimate Reward Account for almost three years, and they would never give me more than a £100 overdraft limit. Last month, I applied again to increase it, and low an behold I was accepted for £1000 all of a sudden. So I kept applying again, and eventually got it to £4000. How is that? All of a sudden. Also, if I wait another while will it double again like this?

I'd love to hear some other people's opinions.

Thanks

Probably a change in performace scoring after they changed to the LTSB platform last month.

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Indeed I suppose it is this also -

When I was with LTSB my OD Limit was stuck at £150 for two years then all of a sudden BAM £3,000!

LTSB offer crazy limits to those who run their accounts impeccably. But are quite strict also so OP, I suggest you put your OD back down to £100 and avoid using it or your account score will drop quicker than a lead weight in a helium atmosphere.
