Evans Halshaw Extended Warranty Advice

I just wanted to share a story with you in the hope that it will save people some money!
When I bought my used car from EH I also bought the extended warranty...unfortunately I broke down a few weeks back but the part that was broke was covered so I thought it would be fine.
EH, however, still charged me £90 for 'diagnostics'. When I said I thought this was ridiculous they said that I was welcome to speak to the company who wrote the contract but that this happened hundreds of times and the contract people always said the same thing...diagnostics are not covered.
I complained to the contract company anyway and they actually were quite shocked and said that I shouldnt have paid diagnostics. It is therefore worth speaking to them as what EH said wasnt true at all! I am now trying to get my £90 back from EH with the contract company on my side!
I have seen lots of bad press about EH and my experience has only confirmed that. Just make sure you complain if they charge you for diagnostics of a covered part under the extended warranty!

In the terms and conditions of some warranties, it will state that diagnostics checks are not covered under warranty.0

The evans Halshaw warranty doesn't mention it... The company who provides the contract has confirmed diagnostics are covered... Evans Halshaw are using the contract to get money they shouldn't and are lying about it to customers! I was told the contact company wouldn't agree with me as they never did... But they agreed straight away... I should not have been charged!0
