Tomtom Vs CoPilot iPhone navigation app

I am looking to get either the Tomtom or CoPilot app for my iphone 4 to use as a satnav when needed, but unsure of which one to go for.

I like the Tomtom as I used to own a tomtom and like it's interface. both apps have good overall ratings, but with the CoPilot app being £20 cheaper, I was wondering if anybody has used both, or uses one in particular and can suggest which one i should head for. I would prefer to save £20 but not if the CoPilot app is not as good as Tomtom...

any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Why not use Google nav, it's free and includes traffic etc, works very well, and seems to be updated with new roads very quickly.

And they want how much money for them?

    FREE.... GoogleMaps, NavFree

Cheap.. AA Road Atlas, MotionX, ForeverMap all under £2

    Consider also Garmin StreetPilot.

    Consider also Garmin StreetPilot.

Google maps on my iPhone is no good, i want something that i can just input my destination and the directions appear as i move, Google maps directions requires constantly pulling over, unlocking the phone and checking directions again.

I've read up on Navfree, some say it doesn't work with iOS5? and many reviews say that it often takes you the long way round to your destination.

AA Road Atlas again looks a great app, but isn't navigation, only a mapping tool.

MotionX looks great if I'm walking or on a mountain bike, i want this in my car as a sat nab

Forevermap is just another mapping tool.

Hence why i am prepared to pay £30 or £50 on a proper sat nav app. An actual tom-tom would cost me £100 so it's cheap in comparison. So any users of copilot say if its decent enough? if so i'd rather pay £30 than £50

I have both - the reason why? I bought co-pilot first and it's simply not as good.

Tom Tom is better, responds quicker and the live traffic feature is much better than the co-pilot version, plus it links into Google search, so you look for the Hilton Heathrow T5 (built about 6 weeks ago) and it finds it because it's on google, co-pilot fails because its not in it's location list....

I use a 3gs and both sometimes lose gps lock in central london, you can either buy the special dock or I assume an iPhone 4 would be better anyway.

Both you still really will need to buy the traffic/camera systems (something like £40-50 a year, but its comparable to the tomtom cost for a normal unit).

    Get a decent phone lol,

Google maps works great on my galaxy s2, Set the phone not to goto sleep when navigating, Sorted.

I have Aura, Igo, CoPilot, GoogleMaps on my phone and paid nowhere near those prices.
