I am looking, hoping, for good Samaritans. I don’t particularly enjoy doing this but I figure that right now it has to be worth a go.
I have a full time job as well as a second part time job here in Cambridge and my fianc! has been sent away to work in Sunderland on a 6 day, 54 hour a week, 2 year contract. Times are very hard for us, as they are for most, and she had to take the job further north for a little more money in order for us to be able to get by.
I am not going to give you a sob story or ramble on for ages about everything we may or may not have endured.
The simple fact of the matter is that we are only just getting by as we are right now and the whole distance thing is really taking it’s toll on us. We are very much in love and being away from each other is the most difficult thing we have ever had to do. We have to live within our means and visiting each other is just not within our means, it’s very disheartening. We talk on the phone for so long every night and it kills us not to be together.
It has now been a little over 3 months since we saw each other.
I am severely putting my pride to one side and giving this a shot in the hope that someone see’s it and decides they would like to help financially. It really is that simple I’m afraid. Do not under-estimate the endless amount of things we have considered, tried and failed at in order to help this situation.
Just being able to see each other would be beyond amazing. But being able to do things like this and still be able to afford our wedding in August 2012 would literally mean the world to both of us. As a couple we need both, but we are barely able to manage just one of them at the moment.
If you are to help, your kindness simply will not go unrewarded. That I can guarantee. It may not be instant, but you will certainly not be forgotten or overlooked.
I have not gone into the entire full story (why would I on here, we are all still strangers after all), but rest assured it’s a much bigger deal than what I have revealed on here.
