I really dont see how i could get a better deal, i have haggled and haggled until i have got exactly what i want ( garage, kitchen, carpets, 15k off, choosen plot, and even got them to agree to spot lights, built in fridge/freezer etc)
Wasn't querying your haggling skills.
You are buyinga new build from a developer who has connected financial services and legal services who will undoubedly be paying a "kick back" to said developer in some shape or form.
If you think that gives you best advice then go ahead.
The test as I was implying is to go back to them and say I'll use my own professional people please pay their bills and give me the same deal - see what the reply is and let us know.0 -

but surley they are using there 'own' guys at a better rate due to them providing 'services in bulk'...or actaully being on the pay roll of the building company, so of course i couldnt go and demand they use 'my' finance guys...
i take your point tho, and thanks for all the comments, i appreciate them very much0 -
It is important to be independent when making financial judgements/valuations for those judgements to have any credible widespread validity.
The alternative is paid for judgement/valuation that just said what the payer required

It doesnt work like that, they may be able to pay less, but using their financial advisors will only cost you money, not them.
Get your own advice. Without it how do you know you have got a good deal.0 -

If you get the mortgage deal they are selling, then they dont do it for free. They will earn commission on the deal. That commission will be paid for by you (via interest etc)
They have no incentive to find you the best deal, but may go for the deal that suits them best, maybe the one with the best kickbacks.
If you dont do your own research and find out what mortgage deals are available then how will you know you are getting a good deal.0 -
