Deleting McAfee

Not renewed licence this year for McAfee but keep on getting renewal reminder pop up from status bar, how can I delete this program all togther, couldn't fing unistall in the M'e folder.

    You'd be better googling for the McAfee removal tool, the uninstaller leaves bits behind.
    What are you replacing it with?

    Download a copy of whatever you are replacing it with first so you are not using the internet without AV. You may need to restart the PC after uninstalling McAfee so you can install the replacement AV

    Thanks, replacing with Microsoft Security Essentials.

    It`s down to personal preference really, the main point is people don`t have to buy anti-virus protection when there are plenty for free. :cool:

    if you still have mcafee on your system
    download the free revo uninstaller it removes apps and any register bits it may leave behind safely
