another thought for you...go to the front and back of your place and check the air flow bricks...make sure they are not blocked up.
They keep the air flowing under the floor.Am the proud holder of an Honours Degree

I would mention the black mould problem to the doctor and ask them to research the possibility it could be stachybotrys chartarum and ask her to write you a letter to the housing association regarding the mould problem and medical risks associated with failing to treat the mould under the flooring. ,
December the 2nd ? Is someone having a laugh, the problem needs to be rectified as quickly as humanly possible, the problem you will have is finding someone at the Housing association who can even understand what you are saying, you may have to write to the Chief executive of said housing association.
It was never my intention to frighten you, but someone has to inform you of the possible risks you are facing.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I'd not be happy with 2nd December...that's like 6 weeks or so away...they would have had more than enough time to mull it over in meetings after meetings, getting nowhere whilst hoofing dainty sandwiches and vol au vents down their necks......plus by 2nd Dec it's fast approaching Christmas....and everything slows down by then.
Strike whilst the iron is hot...email them that letter quoting the info by Vax2002...and I'd get them to send you an email read response back....get someone name there that's dealing with it.Keep details of who u are dealing with otherwise " they'll loose your email ".
I'd lay it on thick about your child not being well, doctors appts and the constant worry for his health.
Perhaps a quick call to the Environmental Health Dept at your local council can provide some info....get their name and quote it in your email to your Housing Associaton.Am the proud holder of an Honours Degree

If you are of to the doctors today with the little one ask your doctor to write to the HA as well, that sometimes is enough to give them a gentle punt in the babahookie. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

right i am armed and ready to take them on
(hides behind computer screen hehe) funny that because i have just sent them some pictures less then 10 minutes ago and i have had a phone call..................
Hello Miss ....... someone will be attending this week.
It might not be that serious because the mould is only at the bottom of the wall and behind skirt boards in the bathroom, but behind skirting boards in kitchen, and floor is rotten.
When and if i win the euromillions can you please pm me and i shall give you all you ask.
Many thanks0 -
Well i took my little girl to the doctors and she said its nothing to do with the black mould ( her colds etc) so i guess asking for a letter would be useless

This is absolutely shocking.
I would make a complaint to the housing association regardless of whether they come to fix it this week or not.
What is their response time for repairs? Where I work its 24 hours for emergencies, 7 days for urgent and 28 days for routine repairs. Even if they wanted to class it as a routine repair, the 28 day time scale has passed (do check out their customer service standards to check what timescales they use).
Also, if they come out this week and fob you off a bit more, get in touch with your MP and get them on the case as well; maybe even report it to your local paper. I know this sounds really silly but sometimes people will only sit up and take notice when these sort of actions are taken.
Also, just want to reiterate what ChiefGobster said - do check in case you need permission to do any works to the property (some HA are quite strict with this and if they visited you and noticed alterations they can request that you return the property to how it was previously and you will have wasted a lot of money, time and effort). However, to be honest, you should not be paying to put this right.
It really frustrates me when housing associations don't help their tenants. Without tenants their business wouldn't survive.
I really hope you get this sorted pronto.
