EDF Enery Assist Tariff

This Tariff is solely aimed at "Energy Assist is a discounted tariff for households experiencing fuel poverty. It’s an innovative response to this challenge and offers a discount on our current standard tariff prices". To be to qualify for this tariff you have to match the following criteria :-
"Energy Assist is only available to customers who meet the following qualification criteria.
• Spend more than 10% of their total net annual household income on their annual household energy costs; or
• Be in receipt of ;
- Income Support and /or
- Pension Credit benefits
I have been on this tariff for a couple of years, thinking that due to the wording above that this would be the cheapest tariff that EDF Offer.
IT IS NOT and it has not been for quite awhile. If you are on this tariff then please check around you can get cheaper than this, also bear in mind that this tariff will be subject to the GAS 15.4% and Electricity 4.5% increase on November 2011
