CDs and DVDs are usually good bets as postage is cheap - don't bother listing them for longer than 3 days though as there's so many listed they don't get bids until the last few hours - I once sold an awful second hand indie complition CD I bought as a student for £28!!0

Hey i've been ebaying all day long!!! I've listed about 30 odd items and I have about £20 worth of bids since say 5 pm tonight so it's not bad. It can generate a fair amount and as they say everything helps...
good luck!

Another fan of eBaying here- even if you get a couple of pounds for things it all adds up. I've got loads to list and am hoping to do this while I'm on maternity leave after next week so I can supplement the diabolical statutory maternity pay that I'll be getting!Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

Is great. Just transferred £450 from paypal to curent a/c - my earnings for January already (although I did sell a large item). It a matter of doing research into what sells and knowing how to make a good listing (good photos, describe item fully etc). Am having another mass listing day tomorrow. Totally love it, am addicted to it. My OH says ebay is taking over the house -we have a "post office" room, where I package everything and a "stock room" to keep the items in - but that is soon to become our childs nursery. Need to get listing! Good luck with listings everyone.
Mrs Sparkle, I too am hoping to supplement maternity pay with ebay. Hope your pregnancy is going OK.0 -
Hello,
I am thinking about listing things on ebay, have never tried I have successfully bought things, but what I would like to know is does everyone list things they never use or just things that will definitely sell-CD's, DVD's etc.
Thanks0 -
Hi loveshopping
There's a thread on here called 'Things you never thought would sell - have a hunt for it and you will be amazed what people have sold.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Its all about getting the starting price right as well. look at completed listings to see what might sell and what you might get for it. I sometimes find an item can be too popular, why should they bid on yours? For example, a CD, which would be better sold on amazon, amazon doesnt cost to list and will keep it listed for 2 months if it doesnt sell before. Will only charge you a fee when sold.0

Well done on all the activity, em. That £20 saved per month should be for expenses like TV licence, road tax, MOT etc. If you know that's what it's for, you won't feel down when you have to take the money out....:)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
