And all employers are wrong, and work outside the law - hence the sheer number of tribunals that are won every day and the huge amounts of money that disgruntled employees win and live off for the rest of their lives with no need to ever work again. Tut tut SarEl...what are you on about? If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

Meh, I think the OP got off lightly.
I did a 6 month internship (OK it was called a "scholarship") at Oxford Uni in the 90s and for most of it I had to work 12 hours a day 5 days a week doing fieldwork OUTDOORS (even in winter) for £100 per week living expenses plus reinbursement of fuel. I killed 2 cars doing that "job".0 -
Wow,this thread had me amused.
OP,you clearly don't understand what an internship is.Add to that the fact that you found one on gumtree and you come to the conclusion that you should never do one and should consider your future and what you want to do!
Jeez, you don't seriously expect an internship to involve you going in when you feel like it or only for short periods of time do you?:rotfl:If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0
