PGCE finance - help!

Hi all,
Just after a bit of advice, currently applying for a PGCE through the GTTR and was wondering if anyone could help me regarding financing it.
Previously Ive had 2 years worth of student loans for my degree but just wondered if it was possible to take out a student loan for the PGCE as it looks like it will be about £9000 for 2012 entry?
I'm going to contact the Student Finance company on my next day off but just wondered if anyone could shine a light on it until then?
Thanks

How have you managed to have only two years' funding for your degree?0

Has the government completely withdrawn the bursaries for shortage subjects? You don't say what subject you want to teach but there used to be bursaries for future teachers of maths, science and languages.0

PGCE's are exempt from ELQ and attract support in the normal manner from SFE, regardless of previous study. You would only be ineligible if you fail to meet the personal eligibility criteria of residency and course designation, or if you are already a qualified teacher.0

Teaching primary so there will probably be no funding available based on 11/12 although not confirmed as yet, Thanks Taiko, think i meet the criteria so hopefully will still qualify for the SFE route, that's what I was wondering about
