I had a bill from BG dated 11th Jan, I then received a "red frightener" dated the 15 th !!!!! for a different amount ! Same account.
It also informed me that from 7th March I would be charged £5 for sending one of these letters out !
I have e-mailed them asking which amount they would like me to pay, needless to say I have had no reply from their 24/7 e-mail address.
Aren't they b****y useless ?

I have both electric and Gas with BG, and I am getting fed up with them already, (changed over about 6 months ago)
I am paying by DD every month, after a month or so they had the flippen cheek to write to me telling me they were going to increase my payments for both.
It was a nightmare, as I wanted to write to them before the DD date, I managed to sort it out, but how very dare they, I would have understood it better if I had been with them about 6 months or so, and I was owing them money.
So beware people, that they think they can up it willy nilly.0 -

And they do up it, cheeky monkeys. BG change our DD's (gas & elec) every now and then. My Mrs rung them to get it changed back and they just refused! If we owed BG money then fair enough but our account was IN CREDIT at the time!
And they call it customer SERVICE! Would be nice to get some...........0 -
I didnt even bother ringing them, I emailed them and told them firmly that they were out of order.
What got me was, like I said I had only been with them a month or so when they decided to up, and I am talking about £25 for the gas, and £10 for the elec, but as I was already in the black I couldnt see the sense, and I told them this and also if they go ahead I will change to another provider and contact 'watchdog.
I got a reply back apologising and my DD are still the same, and I am still in credit.0 -
Sorry to sound like a stooge but a "few" customers have been sent the reminder before the bill, a original bill with a new payment date should follow shortly:beer:0

I keep getting the same sort of weird threatening letters. The annoying thing is I pay every quarter via internet banking whenever a quarterly bill arrives - I think they have decided to change the payment method to monthly... so I'm now getting these threatening demands for random amounts. Just sent off an email to ask them what's going on...0

If you have e-mailed them .....don't hold your breath - they still haven't replied to mine sent on the 20th Jan !0
