Ive just realised that these must work the same as using tennis balls in the dryer, perhaps just a bit better due to being nobbly. My hubbys feather and down filled jacket has washing instructions which say to dry it in the tumble dryer on a low heat with 2 or 3 new/clean tennis balls which helps to plump and keep the filling evenly dispersed. Im sure it says trainers too as when he does wash it we have 2 tennis balls and a trainer in the dryer with it. Rather noisy though drives you mad.
By the way the jacket is not a cheap thing with crazy instructions, it is an expensive brand, so reliable wash instructions.

Tennis balls do exactly the same job so for those who cant get the dryer balls in your poundshop get yourself a packet of tennis balls insteadWill this hammy hunt ever end ???
So far all 4 hamsters £40,3 beds £15,Skate board and u turn £22,House £25 total £97.00 ....still wanting wheel,car,slide,ball,surf board ....
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERY ONE :rotfl:0 -
Since my tumbler is in the garage, the noise will not be an issue. But on the topioc of tennis balls, are you sure the green stuff on the outside does not come off in the heat? Can get some cheap from out local donnay. (Failing that the kids have some old ones upstairs- but they may need a wash first!!)Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. I replied thanks!
probably cost the same but don't have the bobbly bits to fluff up the clothes but could serve a dual purpose tennis and drying!0 -
Unfortunately I don't think these will be available in Poundland again.
Green Lane Products Ltd hold a European design registration covering dryerballs (R). They notified Poundland of their infringement several weeks ago and by now they should have removed all further products from their shelves.
Anyone for tennis (balls)?0 -
Meant to look for this thread at the weekend. Went to the Leeds store on Saturday asked about the dryer balls and was told that the supplier didn't like them selling them for £1 so said it was doubtful they would be getting any more in!
Looks like if you've got some already you are one of the lucky ones!0 -
I could not find these in my local Pound stores, but found them in Netto today for £2.99.Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
I bought some and they do work, as do the tennis balls.a woman who works in the launderette swears by them.I have definitely noticed a massive difference in drying times.:j :j"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
