haggling with virgin media?

hello, just asking for peoples deals/experiences with virgin media?
ive been a customer since coming up 12 years now, so since ntl and now virgin which bought them so surely im a loayla customer YET im paying the full prices that new customers pay, something like £60 at the moment just for 30mb, sky sports ONE only. lowest tv and calls.

a friend of mine pays £55 for 50mb, highest XL tv and highest calls ( customer for 12 years. ) yet i cant seem to get them down! £60 for what i get really isnt good enough in my opinion since im a customer from way back .

do you phone them? or email ? i tried to " pre-tend " im leaving to sky via email and that did'nt work as when ive previously attempted to haggle on the phone, im not what they call " good " .

your thoughts? best deal you've gotten? idealy i think for £60 i should be getting 30mb at least, XL tv, sky sports and low calls although in the email they said they " cant " do this.

thanks

Your ability to obtain a discount isn't magic - but they do take into account what you pay and what discounts you may already be recieving from the standard tariff. If nothing, then there is room to offer something, but then you will need to remember they will restart your minimum term at 12 months for whichever service you changed and got the discount on (TV, Phone or BB).

There is a finite limit, and if you reach this no additional discounts will be provided but they will not tell you what ths amount is, although you can sometimes work it out. Sometimes the reimposition of the 12 month lock in is not worth the discount, only you can decide.
