have you tried contacting the garage? that's usually a good place to start
    helpful tips
    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)
  • The MOT only gives it's road-worthiness at that point in time, it does not provide any further guarantees.

The MOT is only good for the time it is done, once the car drives awat from the MOT station anything can happen and has no bearing in this case.
Your grandson may have a claim against the garage though if it was sold with an exhaust that was prone to fail so quickly, this could be seen as a fault that was there at the time of purchase.
It depends on what has happened to the exhaust though, is it physical damage, i.e hit a brick in the road, gone over a speed bump to quick etc, this won't be covered.
If it's just failed after two weeks then this should be covered by the garage, as a busines seller, even with second hand cars, they should be able to last a reasonable time without failure, I can't see two weeks being reasonable.
  • thank you all for your replies, we will be contacting garage tomorrow the exhaust started blowing while been driven today when my grandson was going to work
