Hi hun. Yeah I noticed we'd all been evicted
I'm looking at it as a promotion. The powers that be have realised that we are here to stay and have promoted us accordingly:rotfl:
Well not much on the debt busting front.
Went back to work today after the "procedure" and promptly had a half day:T
School parents afternoon went really well. Both DD1 and DD2 got glowing reports. I was a bit unsure that the teachers were talking about my kids:rotfl:I never realised I had given birth to such wonderfully behaved children who would excel so much. Only down side was DD1's teacher informing me that it would be better if she reads books "more appropriate" to her age group. She had a fantastic start in a military school where they were encouraged to do well. If they were good at something it was encouraged, and if they had problems with something they were helped along.
When we moved back to the UK, she was 6 with a reading age of 9. She is now 9 (10 in April) and last year got the twilight books for christmas. By February, she had read the whole series! But she also loves Roald Dahl and CS Lewis so I'm not worried. She started reading my dad's book about angels tonight! I was not worried in the slightest as my BFF had the same comment made about her DD1 at the same age. Her DD1 is now 12 or 13 and is reading adult fiction and non fiction. I think I can safely say I'm not bothered cos at least she sits down and reads a book instead of playing computer games!
So I've had an acknowledgement (by phone) from the army, but nowt from the evil tax credits. If the worst comes to the worst, I will phone them at the start of next week. Unfortunately because of my job, I have to phone a "Special Section". Makes me sound like some kind of deviant but its only cos I am a kind of civil servant! Blooming red tape!
I am however going to splurge £20 on a ionic band. My mum got one and she says she feels great. Long story but I may just bleat on about it to FOH and see if I can get one for christmas from him.
He however, has agreed to give me £200 a month in cash every month to repay debts. First one is £150 towards catalogue, meaning I can get the kids pressies on buy now pay later and get it paid off quickly! The other £50 will get saved and in May I can repay my parentals the £260 they lent OH to get disco kit. Then it will be getting saved to either pay debts or pay for the house to get done up a bit.
And if he misses a month ... he is dead meat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am off to google "question of the week" with DD1 now. It's the optional part of homework but she loves doing it and apparently is the only kid in her class to have completed every Q of the week since it started!
I am a proud mummy today and to heck with the debt busting! It can wait!LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

Sounds like the DD's are pretty good kids, well done, the transistion from pad brat to civvie school is hard from what I'm told by friends who've been there so sounds like you and himself have done a good job.
And we know you're a deviant, but the good kind (being "normal" is soooo not fun). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Thanks hun, I think being so young when we moved back has really helped the kids make the transition easier than if they had been teenagers. I dunno about doing a good job lol but thank you so much. I do try lol.
I will never be "normal" by any standards! It is toooooo boring lol.
Hope you are have a good week xxxLBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

Left for life Down Under 4th August 2012 - living frugally and have learned my lessons :j:j:j:j0 -
Thanks hun, been trying! If you are better at italian cooking you should try caper sauce, my italian uncle (god rest his soul) taught me how to make it when i was a kid. Very yummy and healthy ... only problem is you always want more and more lol
I made a huge batch, took some to work for my 2 colleagues (both male) to try and the rest was split between me and my mum. I took my batch to work for lunch, after having it for breakfast 2 days running, couldnt eat it all and my mum had the rest! Her words were "ooh its lovely ... but next time can you make more?"
:eek:I had made a double batch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Think it may be another 6 months before I make any more!LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

Well the postie actually came to my house this morning with a letter from Experian containing my credit report:j
Well I was :jtill I read the darned thing. Now I am
It would seem that FOH has been applying for credit without my knowledge. There are 6 applications that I know nothing about:mad:
My two applications to have my bog standard basic bank account updated are on ... no wonder they have been refused both time:eek:
Not to mention Lloyds have got 3 debts listed even though we only have 2 debts with them. One is an OD and the other a Loan. The OD is listed twice:mad::mad::mad:
I am going to wait until I get the other two credit reports back ... that will get my sarcasm juices flowing correctly then I will give Lloyds and Intelligent Finance (1 loan) both barrels accordingly.
They both have the wrong default date listed. Isn't that supposed to be after the last payment was made? For some reason they have stated that we defaulted last year!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Funny I have been making token payments on a monthly basis by standing order for the last 2 years and can get proof ... both accounts were defaulted in 2008!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Just shows how incompetent Lloyds Banking Group are:mad:
But it does show a settled loan from Lloyds so am going to get the details of it and claim my PPI back. That will stay in another account that FOH knows nothing aboutuntil I get the figures for the debts back to what they should be.
My Our OD limit was £2500 but Lloyds have lumped £1500 of charges and interest on it before defaulting it :eek::eek: and guess what ... I WANT THESE REMOVED BECAUSE THE BANK KNEW WE WERE IN FINANCIAL DIFFICULTY!!!!!!!!:mad::mad:
They can then re-calculate how much I have paid them and remove that from the £2500 which would put that figure down somewhat. If I get enough PPI back to offer a F&F on that then I will make an offer but not going to hold my breath.
Once the OD figure looks a bit more realistic then I will start on the loans. Going on the law of averages there is probably a couple of grand's worth of interest and charges levied on both of them ... even though we got in touch explaining the situation to them and asking for their help.
I have to say IF were the most helpful ... they gave us a 3 month payment holiday but neglected to tell us that they would continue to add interest:eek:
But I want to tackle Lloyds first ... am determined that I will be debt free next year or if not, a heck of a lot closer to it than I am now!LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

I got an acknowledgement today and to say I am  is an understatement!
Blooming cheek!
They have the correct details for my applications of Feb 2007 and August 2007. But they have said I did not sent identification ... copies of my passport and driving licence were included:mad:
They also claimed on the phone to me that my first SAR in Feb 2007 was responded to and all papers were sent to FOH's old regiment (who deny all knowledge of it) so someone somewhere is telling porkies:mad:
I will find out the truth and when I do ... someone will have to pay for this:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Then later in the letter they say they have a backlog and cannot give me a timeframe for responding ... aye right ... there is a letter being sent on Monday morning to this woman to say I don't care about your backlog ... I have requested these papers on 3 occasions and sent the appropriate paperwork ... so find it and sort it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can be a complete B**ch when I want to be and these folk are just pushing the right buttons!LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:
