which tablet

Seriously thinking of getting a tablet to entertain and keep intouch with things during my new commute and breaks during the day - ipads are very expensive can any one give personal recommendations of its competitors

If I was to recommend one I would say have a look at the "Asus EeePad Transformer" I have one and I'm quite happy with seems to do most things, its a lot better then the galaxy tab which I sent back.
  • I would 2nd the Asus, does everything you could want it to, loads of free apps. You can also get a keyboard dock so it is more or less a netbook and it extends the battery life which is excellent anyway.

well you can buy just the tablet part but if you want the keyboard too then its extra, stil looks good bit of kit, considering one myself. Have you considerd popping into currys or comet or whereever to see if they have a tablet(or an asus) to try out

  • I only bought the tablet, had no need for the keyboard. The onscreen keyboard is very easy to use. I have just tried and Iplayer definitely works on it (which I had never tried before so am very pleased).

I'll third the Asus. I bought the keyboard dock (it was only £50 at the time) and I use it as much with the dock as without (50:50). The flexibility is great.
