Car hire (Greater London) to get me to/from work
Options
Hi
Might appear to be a luxury but I need to hire a car for about a week to essentially get me to and from work plus a liitle bit of leisure motoring. Can anyone recommend any companies who will drop off and collect the car from your home/workplace please? The cheaper the better of course!

if you only need it that little I'd go for one of those black ones with the orange light on top, no parking problems or congestion charge to think about either0

haha. It's about 45 mins driving time each way so the taxi fares would soon rack up.
Anyone suggest a car rental company that would drop off the rental at my workplace then pick it up after a week?0 -

I think Enteprise do drop off and collection still, but as far as Im aware its from your home address only and only if you are within a pretty small radius. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Europcar always collect and deliver cars for my employer - I don't know if they do this for anyone though.0

Was hoping that they could drop car off at my workplace in Chiswick0

I would think most of them will do this if you pay them - certainly for corporate clients. (It's not clear whether you are that or not)
Smaller companies are more likely to do it for nothing if it's reasonably local to them0 -
I know Enterprise pick up/drop off, as i've used them. Probably depends where you are which will determine the cost of the rental. Enterprise usually do specials at the weekend, so if you are using it over a weekend you might save a bit with Enterprise. I've known Sixt to give lots of free upgrades, but those obviously aren't guaranteed - but they will actually deliver the car to your home and pick it up for £10 a go.0
