Oh help! Not even CCCS will help

In e-mail from CCCS
".....Unfortunately the budget you have completed online doesn't provide a sufficient surplus for CCCS to be able to act on your behalf...."
So I'm on my own then?
I owe around £50000 to 4 credit card companies. Mortgage payments, council tax etc all paid up to date and ok
I am staying with family abroad - I am lucky in that. It is saving me so much money and they are being very kind. the problem is I can't afford to ring all the 0845 numbers, even 0800 numbers, (around £1 a minute from landline) so I can't even afford to phone CCCS.
I followed their "debt remedy" advice and used their standard letter offering payment in full on the sale of my house, a token payment of £4 month and asked them to stop interest. Their response has been sadly as expected. No definite response, no stopping of interest and non-stop harrassment to mobile, and pay this immediately letters.
Apart from the mental toil this is taking, which is great, I don't know what to do. I have read other threads and find it very annoying that this mental torture is allowed. We suffer enough with the stress of not being able to meet payments and all the feelings that go with it. The embarrassment, the reliance on others, the feelings of failure, the fear of the future and the feeling of being on your own.
I am a wreck and can't think straight - just what they want so I cave in to whatever they want. That's why I needed CCCs even for some moral support.
My house is on the market but I am not sure now if this was the right step.
Questions:
Does CCCS have an 01 number? I've emailed them but no response - guess they are busy
If I sign my house over to someone else to avoid paying CC companies is that fraud and could I go to prison?
If I did sign the house over to someone else can I keep paying the mortgage? Don't know how this works.
Can I revise my offer to the CC companies?
Should I apply to court myself to stop the interest going on?
My income is £500 from a pension. My previous threads have inc/exp details.
What does everyone think I should do? I need help. Thanks.

I see you only have a £25k mortgage. How much equity will you have when you sell? Have you had a offer yet? What stage are you at?
If you have more than £50k equity, I would just pay the cc £1 per month and tell them in a letter they will get their money when house sells. When you sell, pay off the cc, simple.0 -

If I sign my house over to someone else to avoid paying CC companies is that fraud and could I go to prison? It is fraud and the OR will not miss out that you did that, if you went down the bankruptcy route.
If I did sign the house over to someone else can I keep paying the mortgage? Don't know how this works. I don't think this is the right way forward.
Can I revise my offer to the CC companies? Yes but make sure you do it in writing.
Should I apply to court myself to stop the interest going on? CC/loans companies don't have to stop the interest going on - that's my understanding anyway.
My income is £500 from a pension. My previous threads have inc/exp details.

I looked at your previous thread and you simply don't have enough income to do on a formal DMP. Perhaps you can get work and increase your income? How much are you selling your house for? What is the equity like? Hope it comes through quickly as the other possible solution is bankruptcy

Get a VOIP service. You can use Skype which is quite easy to setup and you'll be able to call these numbers much cheaper. Your 0800 numbers would be free for example. You just have to buy a small amount of credit.
For living abroad and calling home a VoIP service is essential.

I only mention Skype here as it is the easiest to setup if you are a little more tech savvy you can look at the other options such as voiptalk.org etc... There is a good post on your options here:

Then you can call CCCS up and get them to talk you through it.0 -
Thanks for responses, very helpful:

Mortgage is £25000. House on sale at £135000.
as for job, cheaper to live abroad with family at present and need visa to work - am a truly failed property developer. Ebay is my only income but running out of things to sell
Regards signing house over - friend helped in property development and thought could argue they were a primary creditor when house sold, hence signing house over. Don't know, no idea.0 -
CCCs seem to do it to a lot of people. I found them useless. A self run DMP isn't as hard as it seems. You just have to do whats best for yuou.Barclaycard 3800
Nothing to do but hibernate till spring

With that massive amount of asset I would try not to be too concerned. Pay what you can on your credit cards (If all are charging late payments and overlimits then ignore some and pay others in full to reduce charges to as low as possible). Then when you pay them off you can laugh in their face when they try deperately to keep you as a customer.Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345
Debt free 21st Oct 2011.
All thanks to :money:0 -
When you have paid them all off, you can get all the charges back.0
