yes it does matter you must make your own recovery discs look in the menu
for a "create recovery media" program or read your instruction manuels:beer: AL MURRAY FOR PRESIDENT OF ENGLAND:beer:0 -
Hi
I've just bought an Acer laptop too, and during the initial set up (too ages as it did loads of upgrading and things!!) I was asked to create a back up cd, which I was told took 7cd's or 2 dvd's. I guess there must be an option somewhere to do this now??

Acer do provide an option to burn an operating system cd, you should be able to see it somewhere in the program list.0
