Hi
I posted the other week about our EA totally messing things up for us.We put our house on the market at the beginning of November and to date we havent had one viewing. The EA had it priced up at 13K over what they are going for in this area---new valuer ---I have since been told he has been given the sack!! So for 6 weeks it was priced at the wrong figure---THEN--when I checked the website they had added photos of someone elses house---and so the list goes on. I spoke to the manager and he has agreed that we can put it up with another EA even though we are still in contract with them til the end of March. I have seen a house that we would love(not a good idea looking I know LOL!!) and I am seriously thinking about putting it up with another EA(therefore two boards up etc)----can anyone shed any light on this? Is it a good idea?
I havent sold a house for 18 years so I am COMPLETELY in the dark with everything!!
Thanks
xx

yes I would, but check your contract, as it might forbid you going dual agency?
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

u get 2 agents contacts, for the same price usually, check this though

ie if ur on 1.25%, both charge that and then whoever sells it for you gets 2/3rds, and the other 1/3, and no extra cost to you doubling your advertising in effect

problems though would be that the agents may not give u as much time as a 100% guaranteed sale would, or that 2 boards make u look desperate, but that wont bother everyone

    Hi
Thanks for the replies. I meant to add that the EA we are with has agreed that he will get a new contract sorted in which it states we are not tied in and in the event the new EA sell the house we only pay them £100 plus vat for advertising costs(as he put it as a goodwill gesture for all the inconvenience LOL).The new EA charge a fee of £235 if it sells with the other EA.So to me it all sounds ok but as one of the posters says does it make us seem desperate to sell(which of course we are!!!!!!!)
    Thanks x

A goodwill gesture??? Exactly what advertising are you paying for? They marketed your house for wrong price and put pics of someone elses house on your ad. I'd tell them to cancel contract and go sing for the money and have nothing more to do with them.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
