Afternoon,
my pc goes through stages of not starting for days an then is ok for a while it tends to say, nv4_ display driver has stopped working properly or that the driver is stuck, what is the nv4_ driver and any suggestions on how to fix it or even where to find it on pc,

Its the Nvidia graphic driver. Try getting the latest driver from the Nvidia site."I'm not even supposed to be here today."0

Its your video driver software. Try and find out what make/model your graphics card is and find the latrest version of the drivers for it and install. Once you have the card details have a look for the drivers on www.nvidia.com0
