Well I took Linda for her shopping at Asda, but when we were coming out of the store, the wheel of the special trolley got stuck in a little hole in the tarmac and the trolley with the wheelchair attached went flying forwards  Luckily, the trolley came loose from the wheelchair, so the trolly toppled over forwards and the wheelchair with Linda still in it, came back to upright position. However, the 'arms' of the trolley which attach to the wheelchair, when they unhitched from the wheelchair twacked Linda on her left knee and right foot, and all her shopping was all over the floor

A policeman doing a car safety exhibition in car park rushed over and he with another older chap helped me get all the shopping into another trolley, while an Asda shop assistant who was passing took the eggs back inside and changed them as one had broken. It was amazing that only one egg broke out of all the shopping, as it really banged onto the ground, spilling out of the bags. I got Linda back into the car but when she told me about the trolley hitting her legs, I went back inside to ensure that the incident was recorded in their accident book, just in case of any repurcussions. A First Aider was called who then called the Manager and he took us into the cafe to sit down as he filled in a report form. While this was going on, other staff who had seen what had happened, put an A-frame advertising board over the hole in the tarmac, and the Manager took a photograph of the hole as we left

Linda wasn't hurt badly in the end, but I kept imagining what it would have been like if the trolley had hit her bad knee/leg  . She couldn't wait to get home and have a cup of tea and a ciggie. I was surprised that the Manager didn't offer us a cup of tea as we sat in the cafe while he did the forms though :( Anyhow, she seems ok now, but it was a shock

well as it has all been recorded, Linda/you need to write to Asda customer service and see what they have to say about it!

Poor Linda! so lucky it was not worse and she was not injured further. The least they could do is send her a bouquet and some vouchers.
